What are coping skills? How do you use them? For how long?
These are all WONDERFUL questions that your therapist will typically walk through with you. In the mean time I made a little educational video to learn a little more. For me (Andrew), I typically spend part of the first real session going over coping strategies with my clients. Therapy can sometimes be rough, so it is alway good to have a list of positive coping strategies to help ground you and center you. We hope you find this a little helpful!
